An usual day..

 Today start with Maya teacher's philosophy class. Today's topic is culture. Teacher explained all the features and aspects of culture. She gave lot of examples.

Behavior, Attitudes, Traditions, Practices, Rituals, Art, Literature, Utensils, Dress pattern, Ornaments, Religion, Values, Customs, Language food, human relationship, Architecture etc are some components of culture. 

Then the next hour was optional . Neena Ma'am discussed about teaching learning process.

Finally Gibi teacher's class. Last section is library. Today is a wonderful day

Science Day.. A day to be celebrated

 SCIENCE DAY.....

Each year, February 28 is celebrated as National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist CV Raman. This year, the theme of the celebrations is ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future’.The day celebrates historic Indian physicist, CV Raman and promotes the youth of India to follow in his footsteps. 

As part of science day, we Physical Science Association, Cosmos conducted an intercollegiate cartoon making competition  and role play competition.

Purpose of the Celebration:

The basic objective of observation of National Science Day is to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. National science day is celebrated as one of the main science festivals in India every year with following purpose-

To widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people,

To display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being,

 To discuss all the issues and implement new technologies for the development of the science,

To give an opportunity to the scientific minded citizens in the country,

To encourage the people as well as popularize the Science and Technology.

 An unforgettable Art and Aesthetic visit

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Art is not what you see, but what you make others see. 

It was our first Field trip with MTTC Family to Guru Gopinath Natanagramam. 

We started our journey in two buses, at 9.45 am with Principal's valuable message and a beautiful prayer.We went by bus, and Ancy maam, Maya maam, Joju sir was along with us. The bus journey interesting . We made it immemorable by singing songs, enjoying snacks and chit chat with friends. Journey with friends is always enjoying and interesting. 

The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam (the Guru Gopinath Dance Village) is an institute for art established in 1995 to keep alive the memory of Guru Gopinath. Founded in the name of the great artist, Guru Gopinath, the objective is to bring music, dance and instrumental music under one roof and provide the best training.

We reached there 10.40am and, we are welcomed by welcome drinks, and the outer view was awesome.

We all entered the museum with great enthusiasm and excitement. Then we visited each cabin with the guidance of the staff there..

We explored the museum with big eyes. We realized the real story of Kerala art forms- Kathakali, Theyam, Mohiniyattam, Kerala Nadanam a lot of unfamiliarized art forms also. We travelled through their history, dessing style, traditions etc. Not only the arts in Kerala, but also of all over the world gave us a mesmerizing journey .

Guru Gopinath Sir

Died : 9 October 1987

Nationality : Indian

Known for : Kerala Natanam (Kerala Dance)

Guru Gopinath is an epic personality of Indian dancing in the twentieth century. He was a great dancer and master of Indian classical dance. It was his early efforts that made the Kerala dance "Kathakali' widely popular and highly acclaimed at home and abroad. 

We also watched a short video related to theyyam. Theyyam is a popular ritual form of dance worship in Kerala and Karnataka and India. Theyyam consisted of thousand-year-old traditions, rituals and customs. The people of these districts consider Theyyam itself as a channel to a godand they thus seek blessings from Theyyam.

Later we had an presentation session by Dr. Sajeev Nair, is a Doctoral degree holder (PhD) in Engineering Science,, Graduate Electrical Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Life time Member and Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Life Member of National Safety Council and ISTD, Lead IMS auditor, with additional International Qualifications in Learning and Competency. Currently he is the Senior Vice President – Learning and Development, and Head, Manufacturing at Reliance Industries Limited .He has acted in over 500 plays while directed and produced many as well. The student and follower of Guru Gopinath. Belives and advocates in ,

He led us to the world of Kerala Natanam,"The roots of kerala nadanam are tracked from Kathakali and various dance forms in India ",Abhinaya, Mudras, Nava rasas. His facial expressions, body and hand movements, eye movement was great lessons for us. an interesting session filled with curiosity.

Later we had our lunch by sitting on the floor, chatting with friends.

Today's trip was unforgettable and it was a nice experience...✨

Get refreshed with Yoga..

 It was a yoga day.Day at MTTC started with Yoga class by Stephen sir.Today we learned udhitha hastha padangusthasana,padahasthasana ,natarajasana etc. 

It was a refreshing experience.After yoga,we had our seminar session for EDU 03. Joju sir gave feedback for the presentations .Next session was optional subject.Neena ma'am explained Bloom's digital taxonoy.Surprisingly all the students were present today(its because of George sir's exam)

Afternoon sessions were handled by ancy ma'am and maya ma'am.Finally the college day ended with the physical education examination conducted by George sir.

Back to College after induction..

BACK TO COLLEGE....

                            After five days induction today we returned back to our college. I felt so happy while seeing my college. Today was an assembly day. The assembly was conducted M.Ed first year students. Their assembly was drop dead gorgeous. All the sessions are beautifully arranged and executed well. They explained about the importance of mother tongue day in their assembly. As a part of our international seminar they prepared a theme song and presented it in the assembly. They conducted a game in the assembly. The game was translation of proverbs into Malayalam. It was a fun game.

                           After assembly there was a meeting to express our experience about 5 days induction programme. One of the student from each group engrossingly expressed about their experience and happiness related to induction programme. After that Joju sir and Ancy ma'am explained about our art and aesthetic visit. Then we had our lunch.

                            Afternoon session we had optional class. Teacher asked about our experience in induction programme. Then Teacher taught us about revised Bloom's taxonomy. The class ended at 3.30pm.

It was the end of induction. I was feeling a little bad as I have to leave the school. After morning supervision of duty, I have got the opportunity to deal 2 classes, 9I1 and 8 L. It was a really nice experience to interact with the students.

I also participated in mid day meal programme. In the evening, we took photos with school officials, the principal and the headmaster. We had an interactive session with them. They asked our suggestions for improving the school infrastructure. We put forward our suggestions and they promised to rectify it in the coming future. That was really nice of them , as they valued our suggestions.

Finally, It was the time to say goodbye to St.Mary's.

It was the most beautiful 5 days of my life...It will be remembered in my whole teaching career..

Back to school induction after a holiday. The day was very special as the full strength of school returned to school after a long time .The students were also seems to be very excited to return the school after a break. After signing attendance ,we went for dutys at gate and pedestral areas. Then we went to meet the Teacher for demo class observation. Lizy Ma'am was so humble and friendly. Ma'am gave us some work of question paper sorting . After sort the question papaer me and Aiswarya together  handled and interacted with the students of class 8 K1.

The students were so nice and cooperative.  Then last hour we dealt the class of 9 I .The students were little bit naughty,but it was nice to see all types of students. 

After the class we visited museum of St.Mary's. Then Gibi ma'am visited us. That was a surprise moment.We were so happy to see ma'am .Then together having tea and little fun moments,we left the school premises.

It was another day of lessons which revealed me the different types of students. "Every student is unique"

TEAM St.MARY'S - DAY 2

Today  I entered the school at 8.45 am  seeing children with huge bags which reminded me my old school days. Then we signed our attendance .After that HM assigned duties for each one of us, that was managing the students from the entrance to their classes. I got the pedestral section of girls. There students wished me as teacher. That was a beautiful moment to be remembered during my entire teaching career. Then we allowed to visit school premises. During that time we had an interaction with differently abled students. It was a nice experience as they were the most lovely students. We also interacted with their teachers Besta and Kumari. They both were so dedicated to their job . At 11.20 we had a meeting with Ajeesh sir. Sir assigned teachers for demonstration and interactive sessions for each one of us. Then he briefly explained about the history , layout, the number of teachers and students and structure of  school🏫 .Then we have went for noon duty of managing students in que when they leave school. Afternoon we went to teachers alloted to us to know the schedule of class.Then we had our  tea together and left the school at 4.00 'o clock. 

It was another memorable day during my BEd time .Back to school as a student teacher was an unforgettable and beautiful experience...

Beginning of School Induction

 TEAM St.MARY'S- Day 1

  Finally we got the chance to proceed our school induction program. For this purpose, I got one of the largest academic institutions in Asia in terms of student strength-St. Mary's Higher Secondary School pattom. 

Our team comprises 20 students from different optionals leaded by Fr. Sujith of Social Science optional and Aiswarya from Physical Science under the guidance of Dr. Ancy. A. S. On the very first day we had a meeting with the principal Rev. FR. Babu. T. In which each of us got an opportunity to introduce us. Then principal gave some value message that should be executed in the upcoming days at school. Later we had an official meeting with Headmaster Bijo Geevarghese. In which H. M detailed about the achievements of school, Rules and regulation for teachers that one should follow inside the St. Mary's H. S. S. Compound. From the initial day itself they considered us as a teacher. Then we took part in the mid day meal program by serving food and controlling queue. Then we togetherly divided our team into five and went to explore the known and unknown corners of the respective school. Finally at about 3:15 pm we partially completed our skimming process. After the children left , we had marked our signatures in the attendance book... 

It was nice and most welcoming day 1 of our induction program was passed in that evening. After a long time I got the opportunity to stay in a school from 9:00 am to 3:45pm...😅

The Day of Love..

 IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY

It's valentine's day, The day of love , togetherness, happiness etc..

It's the day to feel with our heart...

Our MTTC was also ready to celebrate the day of love. MTTC was made beautiful with balloons,  ribbons and love of the students for the college.

There was a letter box to confess our love for anything in the world.

Teachers and students both make use of the photo frame and took photos and made memmories..

The day begins with optional class, where we selected students for union election. Then Ma'am noted down the clubs we want to join. Ma'am discussed about affective and psychomotor domain.

Then we had class of Joju sir. Sir began the class by saying importance of 'Silence' in our life. Then shalu took her seminar portion. .

   After that Maya Ma'am handled the class. Ma'am divided us into some groups. Then we discussed about Realism.

    Then we had Gibi Ma'am's class. Ma'am gave funny punishment to those who came late. They danced to a song which is played in the background.

After that  father Sujith , followed by Gibi Ma'am Joju sir and,Aami sung songs for us.

 The last session was all about the club activities. The clubs are formed and selected members for it.

The day was full of positive vibes and hopes .....

THEOSA FEST- Time for Reunion

 THEOSA FEST

Today is THEOSA fest held as online codinated by sindhu Ma'am and it's our 65th THEOSA fest and more than 115 plus members were participated in the fest including teachers and students. The event started at 4 pm.

The inauguration started by our beloved principal K.Y Benedict sir and sir gave us a nice speech and the anchoring was done by Sukanya chechi

The prayer was sang by Devika .

 The welcome speech by all great personality had been done and they all thanked and show there gratitude for inviting them to this occasion

A small video presentation was done by shafi sir .Through the presentation we  were taken back to the old MTTC days.

Esther ma'am shared her experience  about the friendship with our Gibi miss and lots of funny chats..

 Deepthi Ma'am also share her experience in MTTC and told us the starting journey from the chapel of MTTC to  today.

Georgenna had sang a beautiful song for gibi miss and every one enjoyed the song 

Kiran,sr Julie,Jose and so many others by year of education had been shared thier views and experience at MTTC.

 Really I am proud to be an MTTCian because in every college I used to see one group of class had reunion accordingly to there will but here a it's like a family get-together.

Then we had Art and Theatre class by Reju sir. Sir played a variety of games with us and it was all very interesting.

After that we had our optional class. Neena Ma'am discussed basic and integrated skills.

In the last session, the punching machine for face detection was introduced as a part of attendance.

Every day is a new day...

Our class started with yoga today. It refreshes our mind and body. We practiced various yoga exercises with eyes, necks, leg and hands. And we studied vrikshasana Thadasana and natarajasana.

                After that Maya Ma'am handled the class .Ma'am gave the feedback about the yesterday's seminar section. Then kavya took the seminar about ethnicity.

               Next session was dealt by Joju sir. That was an interesting seminar session of Maths optional. The seminar was about

OUR ASSEMBLY

COSMOS ..IMAGINE, INVENT AND INSPIRE

        Today's assembly was organized by our optional, ie., Physical science. Our assembly was started with a prayer song by Anulekshmi and My self followed by college anthem, pledge,  thought of the day on love & protection towards parents. After that we had news reading session. Aiswarya, Krishna, Megha, Arpitha, Athira, Meenu, Anju presented the news very well. After that Neena ma'am and Bindhu ma'am inaugurated our logo. We distributed flowers as a representation of love. We presented two books to library. We also distributed prizes for the winners who winning in different competitions in X' mas.At last Bindhu Ma'am gave a message and feedback about our assembly. Our assembly ended at 10.15am. And we were very happy that we could conduct our assembly well.

                      After that we had a session of Neena teacher. Teacher discussed about knowledge, remembering, apply, analysis, synthesis, evaluation in detail.

                         Then the next session was dealt by Maya teacher. It was a seminar session by English optional. The seminar was about religion and society. All of them presented very well. 

                            Afternoon session was handled by George sir. After theory class we played badminton and cricket. It was really interesting. We returned home at 3.30pm with full of happiness

Time to learn Drama...

 Today's class started with Technology seminar presentation. The presentation began with mathematics optional. In the absence of Joju sir, research scholar Jeena ma'am evaluated our presentation. Five among us presented on the topics : Computer viruses and preventive measures. 

The next session was handled by Maya ma'am. We learnt more about the methods of teaching in naturalism, naturalism and cultural practises in India, role of teacher in naturalism, it's merits and demerits. 

Next hour was optional, where we discussed about assembly settings.

The afternoon session was physical education. George sir explained about physical fitness. 

Last hour we had a session on Art and Theatre which was handled by Reju sir. It was an energetic class full of games and fun. We also came to know some facts about acting like pre acting. 

Back to Offline mode..

 BACK TO COLLEGE

Back to offline classes. After one week break we came back to our college...

                  First hour was taken by Neena teacher. Teacher taught us about four components of teaching, cognitive domain, affective domain, psychomotor domain and explanation of Benjamin S Bloom. . The class was so interesting.

               Then the next session was dealt by Maya teacher. The class started by a beautiful film song which gave refreshment to all of us after that teacher gave us an activity of chain story making. Then teacher taught us about aims of education and curriculum. Then teacher explained about the beauty of udhaypur. After that we had our lunch.

                    After that we have a PT session. Four students participated in chess competition. At that time we played badminton and some others played cricket. The plays made us on cloud nine.

                Last session was handled by Benedict sir. Sir taught us about teacher behaviour.

Life is nothing but a play of variables.

 The new World Cancer Day 2022-2024 campaign theme, Close the care gap, is about identifying and addressing the barriers that exist for many people around the world in access the care they need.

Today first session was taken by Maya teacher. Teacher taught us about Biological naturalism.

Next session was handled by Ancy teacher. Teacher taught us about Developmental tasks, Developmental hazards and Nature of Tasks.

 Our optional class was at 5 pm.Presentation of Reading and Reflection continues.The presentation ends at 5.50 pm.

Then there was optional hour. There was presentation of Reading and Reflection. I also presented my Reading and Reflection on the book I have read, that was " Brief Answers to the Big Questions" by Stephen Hawking.

 Today first session was taken by Maya Ma'am. Ma'am started the class, by talking about nature, then she played a song related to nature.
